We are looking for…

A Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our engineering organization through a critical phase of growth — from a solid foundation to a scalable, world-class platform for healthcare staffing.

This is not a 0 → 1 founding engineer role. Instead, you’ll be responsible for scaling our infrastructure, growing the engineering team, and ensuring long-term technical excellence. You’ll bring startup and scale-up experience to the table, helping us move to robust systems capable of supporting millions of daily users and complex workflows.

You’ll work closely with the CEO, Head of Product, and leadership to turn business vision into technical strategy and ensure we’re set up for speed, quality, and next-level growth.

What you’ll do

1. Own and evolve our technical vision
   • Define and communicate a long-term technical roadmap aligned with business and product goals.
   • Ensure our architecture is scalable, secure, and optimised for performance and reliability.
   • Introduce the right level of process, tooling, and governance, balancing speed and structure.
2. Build and lead a high-performing team
   • Grow, mentor, and manage engineering team. Ensure we grow with efficiency.
   • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning.
3. Scale systems and infrastructure
   • Guide the transition from startup systems to resilient, scalable architecture.
   • Oversee DevOps, security, and deployment pipelines.
4. Drive cross-functional collaboration
   • Partner closely with Product, Operations, and Data to prioritize initiatives and allocate resources.
   • Translate product and customer needs into scalable, reliable solutions.
5. Prepare us for what’s next
   • Anticipate and plan for future challenges, from international expansion to compliance needs.
   • Evaluate build vs. buy decisions and emerging technologies.
6. AI and Machine learning adoption
   • Identify and prioritize use cases where AI can enhance automation, decision-making, or matching efficiency.
   • Work closely with Product to embed AI into our core platform (e.g., nurse recommendations, demand forecasting).
   • Ensure responsible, ethical, and compliant use of AI—especially regarding healthcare data and bias.
   • Track ROI of AI initiatives and adjust strategy based on impact.
   • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning in AI across the tech team.
